Hola, ultimamente han ocurrido muchas cosas. La edición de 50 copias de “LoFi” ha sido encargada, y con suerte estará lista para finales de abril. Por otra parte, he terminado de grabar el nuevo disco, “Ruido Blanco”. Es un disco de música sencilla, minimalista y melancólica. Tiene 14 temas (una hora de duración), y se centra en el concepto de la soledad, la distancia, el aislamiento. La inspiración para el disco me ha venido de verme a mi mismo aislado en una nueva ciudad, encerrado en una habitación dentro de un conglomerado de hormigón y cemento, a kilómetros de mis amigos y familia. El proceso de grabación ha sido bastante doloroso, y he estado a punto de no sacarlo, pero creo que es una catarsis que necesito llevar a cabo. Estoy subiendo el disco a la red ahora mismo, mientras escribo, así que lo tendréis disponible muy pronto. El arte gráfico del disco ha sido desarrollado integramente por Stefan Banaszkiewicz, y he contado con la colaboración al violín de Marta González. A ambos les estoy eternamente agradecidos por su ayuda, comprensión y por hacer “Ruido Blanco” posible.
Hi, there have been lots of things happening for Bosques de mi Mente lately. The edition of 50 physical copies of “LoFi” is on the way, and if everything goes well I expect to have it by last April. Besides, I have finished recording and mixing of the new album “Ruido Blanco” (white noise). It is just an album of simple, melancholic and minimalist music. It has 14 songs (about an hour long), and revolves around the concept of loneliness, distance and isolation. The inspiration for this work has come from my own situation since I released “LoFi”, isolated in a new city, trapped in a room around a mess of cement and asphalt, far from everyone I knew. The recording process has been somewhat painful, and I was about to drop the album, but finally I have decided to release it as a way of catharsis. While I write this, the album is being uploaded to the net, so you can expect having it ready soon. The artwork and cover design is by Stefan Banaszkiewicz, and Marta González has helped me recording violin for two songs. I am in debt with both of them. Stefan, Marta, thanks, you have made “Ruido Blanco” a reality.
